Merge an SCP SCP-999 Merge Planner
Worked 3-then-2 estimates for T5, T8, and T10. Not an in-game tool or datamine.
This merge planner is a worksheet, not a feature inside Merge an SCP. The Roblox listing is SCP Merge by Merge Empire. You buy SCP-999, merge matching tiers, collect orbs for cash, and climb a badge track from Tier1 to Tier15. Players observe that early promotions often need three copies and later promotions often need two. A bulk buy around 100 can auto-merge. The tables below turn that observation into copy counts for T5, T8, and T10 so you can shop with a budget. They are planning estimates, not official datamine values. If a live pad asks for a different number, the pad wins.
Read this page next to the how to merge guide and the SCP tiers list. Cash to pay for the copies comes from the cash farm. Parent context for what a wiki tool is (and is not) lives on the tools hub.
Planning model (say the assumption out loud)
We use one mixed model so the arithmetic is checkable:
- T1 → T2, T2 → T3, T3 → T4: 3 matching copies each (early game).
- T4 → T5 and every promotion after: 2 matching copies each (later game).
That split is a teaching choice based on the “often three, then often two” pattern. It is not a promise that T4 is the exact official breakpoint. If your session still wants three copies at T6, multiply that step by 3 instead of 2 and keep going. The point of a planner is to show the explosion, not to freeze a leak.
Working up from one Tier-1 SCP-999:
- T2 = 3 × T1 = 3 base 999s
- T3 = 3 × T2 = 9
- T4 = 3 × T3 = 27
- T5 = 2 × T4 = 54
- T6 = 2 × T5 = 108
- T7 = 2 × T6 = 216
- T8 = 2 × T7 = 432
- T9 = 2 × T8 = 864
- T10 = 2 × T9 = 1728
Each row is “how many unused Tier-1 copies it would take to finish one unit of that tier if you started from zero and never wasted a match.” Leftovers, boss deaths, and buying the wrong pad all raise the real number.
Checkpoint table
| Target | Base SCP-999 (this model) | What that row is for |
|---|---|---|
| T5 | 54 | First serious lab spike; one bulk ~100 covers it with leftovers |
| T8 | 432 | Mid climb; several orb routes and lab upgrades |
| T10 | 1728 | Late-mid badge; treat it as a session project, not a single buy |
T11–T15 keep doubling under this later-game 2-merge rule. This page does not print a fake official T15 cost. If 2-merge continues, each extra badge doubles the T10 stack again. That is why the cash farm matters more the higher you go, and why infinite-money menus on the money farm scripts page are a ban-shaped shortcut rather than a plan.
Worked example: reaching T5
You want one T5. Under the model you need two T4s. Each T4 costs 27 base 999s, so 2 × 27 = 54 Tier-1 copies.
A bulk buy around 100 is more than 54. The extra 46 copies are not a mistake; they seed T6 (which wants 108, so you are still short of a full T6) or they sit as T2/T3 leftovers after auto-merge. Spend the surplus on purpose. If the lab is still fragile, stop buying 999s and put cash into rooms and a weapon from the weapons tier list before the next boss round.
If you had used three-copy merges all the way through T5, the same badge would have cost 3 × 27 = 81 base copies. The mixed model is cheaper at T5 (54 vs 81) because T4 → T5 is treated as a 2-merge. That gap is exactly why we label the table as an estimate. Count what your pads consume in the first hour and you will know which column is closer.
Worked example: reaching T8
T8 is two T7s. T7 is 216 base copies, so T8 is 432 Tier-1 SCP-999s from zero.
Four bulk buys of about 100 get you near 400 copies — just shy of 432 if every copy is perfect. In a real 8-player server they will not be perfect. Budget a fifth buy or a dedicated orb stretch. Do not dump all five bulks in one click if a containment fight is due; auto-merge will happily spend the stack while you are holding the wrong morph. Split: two buys, merge, upgrade, fight, then the rest. The getting started order still applies at T8.
From T5 (54) to T8 (432) is an 8× jump because three 2-merges sit between them (T5→T6→T7→T8). Players feel that jump as “I had a T5 and then the game got expensive.” The planner exists so that feeling has a number before you spend the evening.
Worked example: reaching T10
T10 is two T9s, and T9 is 864, so T10 is 1728 base 999s from zero. That is four times the T8 cost (two extra 2-merges: T8→T9→T10).
You will not honest-farm 1728 copies in one sitting unless the orb route is already upgraded. Break it into T8 checkpoints: finish 432 for a T8, duplicate that work until you have two T8s (864 = T9), then duplicate T9. Mentally you are cloning finished products rather than staring at 1728 ones. The SCP roster and SCP tiers pages help you decide whether that T10 is even the anomaly you wanted, or whether a lower-tier morph from the morphs guide would have been the better flex.
Cash math stays outside this table on purpose. Orb values change with lab upgrades, and this wiki will not invent a coins-per-orb figure. Farm first, then buy toward the copy count you picked.
How leftovers and bulk auto-merge change the count
- Leftover matches reduce the next buy. If auto-merge already handed you a T4, you are 27 base copies closer to the T5 row.
- Wiped pads raise the count. A boss round that deletes units sends you back toward the previous row.
- Bulk ~100 is a click saver, not a tier skip. 100 base copies overshoot T5 (54) and undershoot T6 (108). Plan the remainder instead of buying a second 100 on reflex.
- 3-merge islands. If a later pad still wants three copies, multiply that one step by 1.5 relative to the 2-merge row (three is 1.5 × two). Recalculate from that tier downward; do not throw out the whole table.
Scripts that auto-buy and auto-merge try to hide this bookkeeping. They also risk the account. If the worksheet feels like work, that is the game. See the auto merge scripts warning and stay on the intended loop.
How to use the estimate in a live 8-player server
Join SCP Merge, glance at the pads, and pick one checkpoint from the table — T5 for a new lab, T8 if T5 already felt easy, T10 only if the orb route is upgraded. Write the base-copy number in chat to yourself if you must, then mute the planner and play. Collect orbs, buy toward that number, let a bulk around 100 auto-merge, and stop when the next row is twice (or more) what you can afford. Spend a slice on the lab. Survive the boss. Reopen this page only when you need the next checkpoint. The planner is a shopping list for SCP-999, not a substitute for looking at the floor Merge Empire actually shipped.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Merge an SCP questions.
Are these T5, T8, and T10 numbers official?
No. They are planning estimates from an observed 3-merge-then-2-merge pattern, not a datamine. Follow the live pads if they disagree. The tools hub explains what this worksheet is for.
How many Tier-1 SCP-999 copies do I need for T5, T8, and T10?
Under the mixed model: 54 for T5, 432 for T8, and 1728 for T10, starting from zero with no leftovers. Real sessions cost more if units die in boss rounds.
Does a bulk buy of 100 reach T6?
Not in this model. T5 is 54 and T6 is 108. A bulk around 100 covers T5 and part of T6. Farm the rest with the cash farm guide.
Why not print a T15 total?
The badge track goes to Tier15, but this page will not invent an official T15 cost. If 2-merge continues past T10, each extra promotion doubles the stack. Use SCP tiers to pick a realistic target.
Is this planner an in-game calculator?
No. SCP Merge does not ship this tool. It is wiki arithmetic you apply while merging. The live how-to is how to merge.
Should I use an auto-merge script to hit these counts faster?
No. Auto-buy and auto-merge menus are ToS risks. Read auto merge scripts if you need the warning, then buy and merge yourself.
